Fee Structure Explained
Should your case be unsuccessful, you will not be charged. To ensure our services are available to every person in the UK, regardless of their financial circumstances, all of our cases are referred on a No Win, No Fee basis. This means that if your claim is unsuccessful you will not be charged. There is no charge at all to begin your assessment, and you are under no obligation to pursue a claim once the assessment has been completed.
If your case passes the assessment it will be submitted to your bank, there is a 14-day cooling off period after you have signed up to the terms of business. You are under no obligation to claim using the services. You can refer your complaint to The Financial Ombudsman Service, whose services are completely free of charge, alternatively you could choose to use your own legal representative.
If your case is successful the legal firms who will handle your cases , The Money Solicitor or John Jackson and Dick will charge you for their services by deducting a percentage of your compensation, typically, this will be 39.99%. If your claim is referred to the Ombudsman it will be passed over to John Jackson & Dick Solicitors to handle. The same fee percentage will remain in force to pay John Jackson & Dick Solicitors legal fees. Financial Claims Helpline will receive half of John Jackson and Dick Solicitors legal fees.
If you have any outstanding liabilities (excluding your current mortgage account) with the financial institution or person against who the claim is made, any compensation awarded, may in certain circumstances, be off-set against those outstanding liabilities. To be clear, should your case be unsuccessful, you will not be charged.
